In our last episode, we talked about how K-12 school districts can be just as vulnerable to cyber breaches as any other organization or company. In this episode, we brought on Rabih Hamadeh, Head of IT for Arizona’s second-largest school district, who had quite the story to tell.
Last year, Hamadeh got a call that no one wants to be on the receiving end of– the district had been breached, and it was at a “disaster level.” Hamadeh and his team quickly began responding to the attack, following a structured plan that had been developed for these very instances. Now, Hamadeh is fighting to bring awareness to the importance of cybersecurity in K-12, advocating on local, state, and federal levels.

Rabih Hamadeh is Tucson Unified School District’s Executive Director of Technology Services with twenty years of experience and leadership of large diverse teams in information technology infrastructure and systems, telecommunication, management of large-scale multi-platform complex projects, industrial engineering, systems engineering, construction industry, quality control and assurance and enterprise software applications. He is the winner of multiple professional and academic awards. Hamadeh is fluent in multiple languages.
